From reading through my colleagues blogs and making comments on their work, I realized that I need to implement some of the same feedback in my blog that I gave them! For instance, I give references and a list of links, however it is difficult for readers to understand what those links are about before they click on them. When I was creating this blog, I knew what all my references were about because I had used them so frequently, but clearly that is not the case for everyone else. This goes along with the general feelings of making my blog more readable and fluid, as I saw in both Jennifer Molina’s & Trenton Tanioka’s blogs. I want readers to enjoy reading my blog and have useful and insightful information be present.
One aspect I need to work on for my overview, is answering the question as to "WHY" applets are useful in the classroom. As I read from Kim Ngo's comment, I do not give much detail as to why these would be effective. I should be able to persuade readers that are used to a more traditional style of teaching—without technology—to understand and possibly attempt using applets in the classroom. Or even give teachers who already use applets more resources and strategies to make their teaching even more effective and efficient. Now, I can’t wait to go back and work on my blog! I want this to be something that I actually have parents and colleagues look at when I have my own classroom, so they can learn a little more about me and some of the great teaching styles I hope to implement!
